- Residents across the Joplin Region have spoken through surveys and focus groups to identify barriers to overall community health in key areas.
- Now it’s time to turn insight into actionable plans.
Join us for the Thrive Joplin Summit, where project leaders from One Joplin and TEConomy will present:
- Key findings from recent research
- Community priorities & challenges
- Breakout conversations led by Thrive Joplin Champions
- Ways you can help move solutions forward

Each year, the One Joplin Literacy Team coordinates a drive to gather supplies that support early childhood and youth literacy.
Donations are accepted year-round and can be purchased from our Amazon Wishlist

Poverty
Simulation
Held annually in October, 2026 Date Coming Soon!
Event is free of charge, seating is limited, and lunch is provided.
“Rethinking Poverty” is a simulated month of poverty experienced by our community’s individuals and families.
Participants will:
- Gain insight into the challenges low-income people face daily.
- Identify areas of change that could help reduce poverty in the community.
- Learn about social capital and discover opportunities to make a long-term difference.
